What can i do for christmas that is really christmas-y?

i've heard of drinking hot chocolate by fire place, carollling...iwant my christmas to be really special with friends and family...i'm young, only 13 so i can only afford and plan so much...however i might go skiing with my friends this year...but what can i do that will make me in a "christmas spirit" because i tend to loathe christmas for some reason, but it's such a beautiful season i want to change that...so what can i do? what do u do for christmas? thx
