I'm crocheting a ear net for a horse and the pattern says "DC in 3rd chain from hook, 42 DC across." Do I count the first DC in the 3rd chain as the first of the 42 DC's or do I start counting after that one? Sorry if this sounds confusing. I'm having a brain fart lol.
